"Beavis and Butt-head" on MTV is back tonight with a new season which premieres at 10 pm If you are concerned that metalhead morons have grown since the 1990's - maybe get jobs real, or started to use T-shirts that tout bands corresponding to the current decade - please rest assured, my friends.

As pointed out in style this piece I wrote about the return of "Beavis and Butt-head", these two have not changed a bit stupid. I still wear the same clothes. I still laugh at the exact same way, maddeningly infectious. And I still laugh at things. Only instead of Right Said Fred, now Snooki.

As Mike Judge - both the creator and voice of Beavis and Butt-head - and MTV executive Chris Linn explained in the story, the idea behind the reboot was to allow these two heroes for their sarcastic, uh, critics contemporary pop culture.

"It feels very modern and very timely," Linn said Beavis 2.0, "but [Beavis and Butt-head] remain true to what they originally were."

But the audience be interested?

If Nickelodeon had success this summer, with 90 Renaissance line-up is an indication of "Beavis and Butt-head" may be able to take advantage of that nostalgia, always plentiful and our appetite for the fun of the ridiculousness commonly found in music videos and reality television. But there is a risk that the public simply lost interest in the duo now that the days of Guns 'N' Roses are behind us. (Well, most of us.)

Personally, I have to admit I laughed a few times while watching an advance copy of the season premiere. But I'm still not sure that the "Jersey Shore" related jokes run out after a couple of weeks worth "of episodes.

(By the way, if you're thinking that "Beavis and Butt-head" means a "Daria" renaissance is just around the corner, think again. Linn said that the network has no plans to bring back the animated series about the young disaffected, who got his own show courtesy of his "friendship" with the guys from B. Of course, if "Beavis and Butt-head" gets savagely, plans can always change .. ..)

Do you miss Beavis and Butt-head, equivalent to the generation of Statler and Waldorf X? Are you going to see premiere episode tonight? Post a comment and vote in the poll below, after seeing this preview of the new season.
