Josh Hamilton is suffering through a strained left groin and or a possible sports hernia, but seems to do about it. Rangers outfielder from Texas wants to focus on doing the job on Thursday night, in the process of helping bring home the first title of the World Series for the franchise.

On Wednesday night, Hamilton gave his opinion on the questions about your health, and could have silenced the critics, for now. Speaking to the media, said that "in the first person to ask about my health, all interviews are over. We are well? Everyone understand? Not be the guy who gets up." There may be a bat after the World Series so hurt about what has been, no doubt, but Hamilton is no excuse.

In 19 at-bats during the 2011 World Series, Hamilton is hitting just .158 from the plate (4-for-19). It also has one foot, and since then has not the power that made him a great hitter in the regular season. Hamilton had a memorable at-bat in the ninth inning of Game 2, however, when he hit a sacrifice fly to tie the game and help the Rangers to move to a 2-1 victory.

Throughout the playoffs, Hamilton is 15 to-60 with no homers and nine. His batting average of .250 is well below the .298 mark he had in the regular season, and his power numbers are simply not there. His wounds are obviously taking a toll on the plate, and is making it very difficult for him to move on the fastball. That takes a lot of power in his swing, and almost a liability at the plate. However, it only takes one great turning point of the All-Star and a fan in the stands will have a new memory.

With the delay of game 6 to Thursday night (October 27) that could actually hurt Hamilton in an attempt to keep fit game. There seems to be an injury that required offseason to heal, and having to go through the daily grind of the MLB Playoffs is not what is easier to get healthy. In someone with a sore shoulder could get a lot of benefits from an extra day of rest, someone who tries to keep loose and recover from a groin injury is an extension of the period of extended rest inevitable. He does not feel the injury, however, if Texas can put away the Cardinals in Game 6.
