Jenna Lyons, creative director of J. Crew and the president who famously was shown painting toenails of her son, pink in a catalog of the company earlier this year, as reported in the middle of a divorce the artist Vincent Mazeau after nearly a decade of marriage.

This according to the New York Post's Page Six, citing "multiple sources" (all unnamed) to outline a battle over money and custody of children. And I do not want to be complicated: Lyons has a 5 year old son Mazeau, earns about $ 5 million a year, and even has the first lady Michelle Obama as a fan.

Then, well, there's one that someone else has to say.

It is the reputation of Lyon "for his simple style, taste and lifestyle, all of which are still a brand for the J. Crew catalog. (A recent article in the New York magazine to be added to the legend, to the description of his fashion house in Park Slope, as "a happy [but carefully] all the dead skin, falling roses, and worn stairs." after "black-tie the couple's barbecue 'wedding in 2002, which included the bride with a sublime and simple white dress that she designed the bridesmaids in black and groom and groomsmen in kilts).

Not even the fact that a lovely woman powerful as Lyon still dazzled. (When a pregnant woman Beyonce appeared in J. Crew 's New York Fashion Week show in September, the boss of the company reportedly whispered to one staff member, "Ohmygod, I think I'm going to faint , "before making his way to greet Jay-Z 's wife.)

Part dishy: Post sources said that after she and Mazeau broke this summer, Lyon fell by a woman, Courtney Crangi, who also works in the fashion industry. The two women have known for years, the Post said, quoting unnamed friends described the pair of the new "silent open about their relationship," have been photographed together in fashion events and watched out for " romantic dinners "in New York West Village.

There is some irony, perhaps, a woman of the same sex in relation to holders of drawing fashion industry. After all, men of the same sex in the business are not exactly head-turners.

As expected, the alleged relationship has to talk again about a montage of photos in a catalog of J. Crew spring showing the president of the company to spend a Saturday with son Beckett - painting toenails pink. All the Rage explained what caused such an uproar: While some saw it as harmless fun, others saw it as shaking the cages of the status quo and the ratification of children transgender or gender-neutral.

Maybe it's just a high profile in New York about the divorce? Publishing division of Rolling Stone's Jann Wenner of his wife of 43 years recently ended after 16 years in the works. Jann and his wife Jane separated in 1995 after Wenner became involved with the designer Calvin Klein and Matt Nye model.

A company spokesman J. Crew told The Times on Wednesday that there would be no comment.
